Comfortable Accommodation You'll get a warm welcome at Tal y Waen, our old white-washed farmhouse. There's always a kettle simmering on the stove and our lounge is your lounge from the huge inglenook fireplace to our extensive mountain library. The bunk-bedded rooms (we also have one double room) are clean and comfortable though you'll probably have to share. If you want more details of accommodation check out our virtual tour of Tal y Waen

Tal y Waen
Plenty of Good Food
Your break includes all food and drink and there's plenty of it! Each day starts with tea in bed, followed by a good choice of breakfast and an appetising packed lunch and a flask. When you return from the hills, a good country tea will be in front of the fire to stave off hunger pangs until after you've had your bath or shower and feel civilised enough to relax with an aperitif.
Then enjoy your three-course dinner served with a few glasses of wine and lots of laughs about the day's adventures. We enjoy cooking vegetarian/vegan meals, but please let us know in advance.

Lifts to and from the station. We'll meet your train in Bangor and return you back at the end of your break. If you come by car you can park it at our base all week

Small Groups. To ensure quality courses and breaks we keep our groups small with Staff/Client ratios  as follows:
Hill Walking - no more than 8
Mountain Walking/ Navigation - no more than 6
Scrambling (ropework anticipated) - no more than 4
Climbing (single pitch) - 4

Any additional staff will also comply with UK Mountain Training Board national guidelines In addition, the company goes further and seeks out people-loving individuals since holidays should be enjoyable as well as safe!
