What Our Clients Say

Jay climbing First Pinnacle Rib on Tryfan"Ben and I want to thank you for the incredible North Wales experience. While the Rugby was awesome, we both agreed that our stay with you was the highlight of the trip!"

Nick on ascent of Pen yr Ole Wen"Just a quick but very big thank you for the very warm welcome and excellent guidance during our 3000s weekend. The legs have now (nearly) recovered, and although we failed to reach all 15 peaks, those we managed will remain in our memories for a long time. The highlight of the trip was scrambling on Tryfan- even if the weather made the descent a psychological as well as physical challenge!"

"Thank you both so much for what we both agree was the best holiday ever.Adam and Chrissi on the Idwal slabs Everything was perfect, the accommodation, the food and the climbing/instruction. We could honestly not have asked or wished for anymore.
Attached is a photo I took half way up Tryfan, doesn't Ian look happy! I'm not surprised as I think he has one of the best jobs in the world, you both are very lucky.
We will see you really soon (already trying to work out when)
All the best

"Just a quick note to say thanks for the weekend, it was a truly memorable
experience from beginning to end. The hospitality was superb and Tal y Waen
is just a perfect base for the walking. Many thanks to Ian for his expert guidance and company, and I look forward to returning in the summer. Now
that I've begun to discover the welsh mountains I'm keen to be back for more!"

Winter Long Weekend Feb 2006

" This is a quick note to thank you for the climbing course. I had a wonderful time and enjoyed the climbing and the company  tremendously. Ian was an ideal teacher, whose calm and patient manner was an antidote to nerves, and who took the time to answer dozens of questions which he must have heard countless times before. I felt by the end of the course that I had made a lot of progress and learnt many of the basic techniques. Mandy was always warm and hospitable and produced fantastic meals. The mountain scenery is superb."

Beginners Climbing Weekend July 2005

" Thank you again for our lovely walking weekend! Both Carole and I really enjoyed every walking minute of it, she was brave seeing she hasn't done too much of that sort of thing, well not long distance and despite feet complaints did enjoy it. You and Ian were once again a delight to be with and you manor very welcoming to all your guests. I also like the way you always have a plan B as it were. Especially on our very windy day"

Mountain Walking Long Weekend June 2005

"Firstly, thank you again for the splendid hospitality you provided to us on our recent stay with you. I don't think Thomas and I have eaten (or drunk) so well inDiscussing the finer points of navigation quite some time, all facilities were first class.
Also, thanks to you Ian for your patience with us both (especially Thomas) over the two days. Both of us felt that we left Snowdonia considerably better informed about mountain hiking in general and navigation in
particular. We spent the whole journey back planning a trip to Scotland in the next couple of months.
Attached are a selection of photo's. I've only sent a few as I don't want to block your email up, if you'd like to see some more then do let me know and I'll send some them.
So thanks again for your kindness, patience and that mean stew!

Sincerely,
Paul & Thomas.

"Thank you for the wonderful weekend you gave me at Easter. I enjoyed every minute of it despite my fear of heights. You were very patient with me and the hills in Wicklow seem miniature in comparison. I gained a lot of experience with you, and the strength in my legs improved immensely. I am awaiting the photographs and can't wait to see them, to remind me of the lovely scenery. All the girls were lovely and the accommodation was excellent as were the meals. Your hospitality was spot on, it must be difficult for you both , as well as running a family. I would recommend you highly for you hospitality and friendliness and patience. I hope that you would welcome myself again and I am trying hard to persuade my walking friends to avail of the walks." Linda
